Praising the “superb colour-accurate displays” found on the new MacBook Pro computers, Rob Galbraith (robgalbraith.com) indicates that the revamped lineup “offers the best displays for photographers we’ve ever seen from Apple.” Singling out the 13-inch MacBook Pro, he adds it “could well be the more enticing option,” a great choice “for Mac-based photographers wanting to pay less and carry less.”

The largest library in the world, the Library of Congress has “millions of books, recordings, photographs, maps, and manuscripts in its collection.” And now you can enjoy part of that vast collection on iTunes U. Watch early films from Thomas Edison and Westinghouse. Hear the oral histories of African Americans who served as slaves. Enjoy lectures from researchers exploring the links between music and the brain.

For archaeologist Julie Schablitsky, the MacBook is a perfect storytelling tool. “The Mac is what I put my experiences and interpretations into,” she says. “It receives all of my thoughts, all of the stories that are given to me by the artifacts. I use it to turn those stories into visual representations that I can show people, the public, and academic colleagues. You can help people time travel with the Mac.”

When inspiration struck, indie rock group The 88 used iPhone to record their new single Love is the Thing reports Jefferson Graham (usatoday.com). “The band recorded directly into the iPhone’s built-in microphone,” Graham explains, using FourTrack from the App Store. “‘The great thing about this is that anyone can do it,’” says keyboardist Adam Merrin. “‘You don¹t need expensive recording equipment or instruments.’”

Its “fetching high-resolution screen and its portability make this an attractive notebook for professional designers,” reports Jonathan Rougeot (computershopper.com) of the new 17-inch MacBook Pro. In addition, Rougeot concludes, the new model’s “sleek design, impressive battery life, and reduced price will make this attractive even to less-demanding users who want a stylish laptop with a bit of muscle.”

How do the batteries in the new MacBook Pro laptops measure up? These two new Apple laptops scored among the highest battery lives between charges of any laptop I have ever tested.”

The crime drama Public Enemies, which opens in theaters on July 3, pits the FBI’s Melvin Purvis (Christian Bale) against the most notorious criminals of the Depression era: John Dillinger (Johnny Depp), Pretty Boy Floyd (Channing Tatum), and Baby Face Nelson (Stephen Graham). In his 4.5 (out of 5) mouse review, Jason Snell (macworld.com) points out that the iPhone 3GS offers “a major step forward in terms of the iPhone’s technological underpinnings,” one that results in “indisputably faster device, not just at some tasks, but at every task.” And in detailing the many new features it introduces, Snell concludes that iPhone 3GS “is still leading the pack, in most cases by a wide margin.”

“Video recording? Voice dialing? Better battery life? Zippier performance? Multimedia messaging? Check on all of them,” says Ryan Kim (sfgate.com) in his review of the new iPhone 3GS. From its built-in video editing to its digital compass, support for Voice Commands, increased RAM, and greatly increased speed, Kim explains how iPhone 3GS “cements Apple’s place at the top” of the smartphone market.

In its first three days of availability, Apple sold more than a million iPhone 3GS models. The company also announced that six million customers downloaded iPhone OS 3.0 software in the five days since its release on June 17. “Customers are voting and the iPhone is winning,” said Steve Jobs. “With over 50,000 applications available from Apple’s revolutionary App Store, iPhone momentum is stronger than ever.”

Richard Corliss (time.com) called it “a near-perfect movie about men in war” when he reviewed The Hurt Locker at its world premiere at the Venice Film Festival. The film, which tells a riveting tale about the men who disarm roadside bombs in Iraq, boasts an excellent cast, including Jeremy Renner, Anthony Mackie, Brian Geraghty, Evangeline Lilly, Ralph Fiennes, David Morse, and Guy Pearce. لماذا Dialer آخر ؟ .. الـiPhone به Dialer أساسي .. و المتجر يغص ببرامج الـDialing .. و قدمنا لكم Faces من قبل .. فلماذا إضاعة الوقت في صنع Dialer آخر ؟ .. الجواب .. لأننا أردنا صنع الـDialer الوحيد الذي لا يضيع وقتك أنت !

Callway .. بشهادة فهد .. كان أصعب بكثير من Faces و من Groups .. لأنه الوحيد المزوّد ببعض الذكاء الصناعي .. الذي يختصر عليك الكثير من الوقت بإذن الله تعالى .. كما أنه كان أصعب عمليات التصميم التي حللتها و صممتها .. لأني أعدت توزيع كل شيء في الواجهة من جديد .. لأضع كل شيء في مكانه الصحيح لأول مرة في أي Dialer و الحمد لله .. ( على الأقل أعتقد ذلك ) .. نقدم لكم في Callway :

نبدأ بالثيمات ؟ .. بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم .. ثلاث ثيمات قاتلة و الحمد لله .. Pixel-Perfect stuff .. .. أسود مُعالج .. أبيض لؤلؤي .. و أحمر الفورمولا - ١ .. و الحمد لله تعالى ..

البرنامج يعمل بسرعة .. بسرعة .. بسرعة .. ثانية و نصف فقط ( ليس بالإمكان كسر هذا الرقم للبرامج المصنوعة بالـSDK ) .. طبعاً .. ثانية و نصف .. حسب حالة جهازك الصحيّة !

واجهة مدمجة للـFavorites و الـRecents و الـKeypad و الـSearch و إضافة Contact جديد .. كلها تظهر سويّاً في مشهد واحد عند تشغيل البرنامج .. دون أي حاجة لتغيير الـView كما تفعل البرامج الأخرى .. لا مجال لإضاعة أي ثانية .. طبعاً .. Apple ما زالت على عنادها .. الـFavorites و الـRecents لا تتزامن مع الموجودة في البرنامج الأصلي على الجهاز .. لا نستطيع فعل ذلك .. و لا نستطيع إظهار الـMissed Calls بأي شكل .. اللوم على Apple ..

إستخدم الـKeypad لإدخال رقم أو بحث ( في نفس الوقت ) .. إمسح ما أدخلته لتعود للـFavorites و الـRecents .. ببساطة !

إذا أدخلت رقماً .. إلمسه بالأعلى للإتصال به ! .. إلمس علامة الـ( + ) لإضافته كبطاقة جديدة أو إلى بطاقة موجودة .. إلمس علامة الـMessage لإرسال رسالة إليه .. بأسرع ما يمكن ..

البحث فوري .. و السرعة مليون ! .. بإستثناء بسيط لا مجال لتخطيه .. هو إذا قمت بالبحث فور تشغيل البرنامج ( من أول ثانية أو ثانيتين ) .. عندها فورية البحث تعتمد على حجم الـAddress Book على جهازك .. أي بحث بعده .. فوري جدّاً و الحمد لله ..

نتائج البحث .. تطابق الأرقام .. و الأسماء و أسماء جهات العمل و الـNotes .. و تطابق الأرقام التي تم طلبها أو الإرسال إليها من البرنامج دون حفظها في الجهاز .. Callway يتعلم من إستخدامك .. و يقوم بترتيب الـSearch Results بشكل ذكي .. يزيد ذكاءً كلما استخدمته أكثر ..

نتائج البحث .. تطابق كذلك أسماء المجموعات Group Names .. و الحمد لله .. Callway هو أسرع طريقة للوصول إلى مجموعة و مشاهدتها و الإتصال بأحد أعضائها .. ضع أول حرفين أو ثلاثة من إسم المجموعة في الـKeypad و ستظهر بشكل فوري إن شاء الله .. فوق جميع النتائج الأخرى ..

طبعاً ليس من الغريب أن نضع Faceview في البرنامج .. بإعتباره من إختراعاتنا الناجحة و الحمد لله .. و لكن أضفنا إليه كذلك نسخة أصغر للأرقام الغير محفوظة في الجهاز .. ليكتمل المشهد بفضل الله ..

إتصال فوري Speed Dial على أزرار الـKeypad من ١ إلى ٩ .. بواجهة إعداد خاصة .. و بـ عدّ تنازلي ( إختياري ) قبل التنفيذ ..

MobileMe customers with an iPhone enjoy a pair of great new features after installing iPhone OS 3.0. The first lets you log in to your MobileMe account and use Find My iPhone to locate your missing iPhone on a map. You can play a continuous sound — useful if you dropped it under the couch — or display a message on the screen. You can even initiate a Remote Wipe if you fear the worst. Want to learn more?

Ed Baig (usatoday.com) applauds the new iPhone 3GS he’s been testing for more than a week. “You can now dial by saying a name or number aloud.” Or even pick songs to play “by issuing voice commands.” He notes that “shooting video on the iPhone is dirt simple.” And he enjoys the ability to “shoot in portrait or landscape mode” and to edit and email or upload video to YouTube of MobileMe” right from iPhone 3GS.
